An interesting afternoon in Sale. Impressed with all the animal sculptures around town. There are over 35 sculptures around the area decorated by a range of people and schools. Always impressive when out to find something out of the ordinary also the fact that activities were on in conjunction with this.

Nice sunny day so I took the chance to visit the Waterside Arts Centre in Sale. A beautiful setting and a chance to browse a range of artist's work.
Really pleased to see my painting featured on the video of the mDAC 2016 exhibition in California. It just appears at -2.21 in the bottom corner behind the ladies head. Blink and you could miss it.

A chance to meet some of the people I only know through facebook and to top it all five paintings sold. A good night. A special thanks to Tony Easom for organizing it. A busy day painting my first oil painting for a while. Started by putting lights in first with a range of warm and cool colours. Then added darks to see the layout of the picture before stating to block in areas. Next i worked from the top filling the canvas before adding the final touches. Now to get ready fo the preview tonight and look forward to meeting the other artists and hopefully public.
Five of my paintings are featured in The Art of Salford exhibition at the gallery along with several other artists. These are from studies I did in the 80's of the local bowling club and Salford precinct. It is organised by local artist Tony Easom.
