It's funny that when I draw these people around my local town I never expect anyone to recognise them. Twice now a friend has recognised them and been kind enough to give them a print. Fortunately they have both been happy with them.

While I was busy in #Manchester my daughter was attending a #graffiti workshop in Chester. Produced some excellent work considering it was her first time. Well done.
Busy day in #Manchester. Went to #BuyArtFair to see latest pictures from art world and competition.26/9/2015 Another busy day painting. Drew the design out in rough and then added the light tones. Started to get a feel for it by adding some darks. Next I started to add some mid tones and then turned the painting over to finish the stream. Finally turned it back again to start adding the final touches.
Always worried when I do a sketch of a local person that they may not like it. A friend knew this man and asked for a print to give him. Fortunately he was delighted with it.
I loved the colours from this scene and enjoyed capturing it. I applied the pastel, light colours, first and then the path as this was a strong feature. Then started to add the mid and dark tones. Then turning it upside down to finish the water. lastly just added the final touches.
Couldn't resist doing this drawing. Reminded me of a Stieg Larsson title The Girl with Wool in Her Hair. A quick 30 minute digital drawing done with a stylus on a tablet.
A fascinating day at the Hepworth. Loved her work and that of Caro. Sometimes find it hard to understand work such as the last one "In Place Of (Appetites) by Magali Reus
Enjoyable day at the sculpture park. Weather perfect for a walk. Make sure you take lots of money for drinks and food though.
