After the stress of #Christmas shopping it was nice to go for a walk into #Monton. Also a chance to visit the gallery there to see the work of local #artists.

An interesting subject matter because I spent a lot of time there in my youth. We had regular mass football games there on a Sunday. It also used to have a small pitch and putt golf course and a splendid Summer house/café. School also sent us there for tennis lessons.
Probably the last #oil #painting of the year. Started in what has become my usual approach adding light colours first before mid tones. Then adding the tree and the path. Finally bringing it all together. A nice #walk around #Salford Quays and another chance to view #L.S.Lowry's #paintings. A famous local #artist.
#Painting Friday this week as getting busy now. Started with the light colours before adding mid tones, Then added some trees to sort out composition. Finally worked on water before turning upside down for a different view and a chance to work on the rest of the water.
