A chance to catch up with my painting after a couple of busy weeks. Had a great walk around Heaton Park a few weeks ago and collected lots of studies to work up into paintings. Love the Autumn colours, especially on a sunny day. 
Started by adding lights, contrasting the light blue and orange. Next added some darks to give a framework for the picture.
I like working on the whole canvas to start with before concentrating on one area.
Then started at the top filling in the background before moving on to the water and reflections.
​Unfortunately after that got carried away with painting and forgot to take pictures.

A nice weekend in Llandudno with a pleasant walk up the Orme. 
During a walk around the town had a chance to visit Denbighshire Art Society's exhibition. 
Some excellent work and some interesting landscape paintings.
Always enjoy other art society shows and comparing the subjest matter to that of Salford Art Society's work.
